Jewelry soldering is a repair technique that joins two different broken pieces of jewelry together with the use of high temperatures – a torch – and solder, a special alloy.

In the soldering process, the solder – an alloy with a lower melting point than the original piece – is heated to a malleable form, so that it can be mended to fuse the broken pieces together.

Once cooled, the heated alloy hardens into a solid metal, joining the broken pieces together at the break point with a strong finish. The end result? The piece jewelry being restored to its original form.
